2015-10-03 Medical Laws

So time keeps flying. Working on cars. Some customer cars, some mine. Days go like water in a river; but at least I’m getting things done. Many fixings that have been pending for months, finally getting done.

It’s been a crazy ride this last month because by mid August I had to quit my job. The reason for acquiring Fibromyalgia was the excessive stress in that job, and even though I had medicine to help, the source of stress that created Fibromyalgia was still there, so I had to leave, which obviously created a big mess in how things work with money, but mostly, the new laws about being legally forced to finance medical insurance companies!!

Searching for a medical insurance as a self employed, the best I could find is something with a $300-400 a month, and a $13,000 deductible!! So that means giving money to the company every month, but receiving no benefit, unless I break a leg or something. And the new raise in medicine prices, reaching in some cases a 5,000 percent!! I haven’t bought Lyrica (the medicine for Fibromyalgia) in about two months now. I couldn’t afford it before; I don’t know how much it is now!!

Isn’t it amazing how the US has become the country with the worst medial system in the world?!! Sure, there are other countries with nothing, but those are poor countries. It would be expected from one of the most powerful and richest countries in the world to have something at least decent!!

First, many US citizens were going to live in Central America to let their retirement checks worth something; now it is going to be for the medical system too!!

It becomes even funny how things are going now. At this rate, pretty soon the US will become like some kingdoms in the Middle East; just a few with lots of money, and the big majority living in struggle to survive, while the old people will have to live with their children because of not enough money to survive on their own.

Now I wonder; with the new laws and prices about medical insurance, and the new prices in medicines, how many people who needs medicines to survive will have to die before new laws are set in place? But again, in a country were people don’t want to pay taxes, and the politic groups create laws to legally steal from people, it becomes no wonder why European countries are shocked at the medical system in the US.

So we will have to change the question from “What do you do for a living?” into a “What do you do for surviving?” The future will show us where the actual settings will lead us to.
